Notes for inbound passengers choosing Lunar New Year Quarantine Program C (7+7+7)

On December 21, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that since December 14, 2021, inbound travelers choosing the Lunar New Year Quarantine Program C have been required to undergo quarantine at home for the last 7 days and to cooperate with the testing measures listed below.
A. Take an at-home rapid test on the tenth day of quarantine (Day 10) using a home test kit and report the test result to personnel responsible for follow-up care.
B. Undergo a PCR test before the end of the 7-day home quarantine period, on Day 13 or Day 14.
C. After the end of the quarantine period, take an at-home rapid test using a home test kit on the sixth or seventh day of the self-health management period (Day 20-21) and report the test result via text message.

During the home quarantine period, people in the same household (not in home quarantine) should abide by the regulations for enhanced self-health management and testing measures that include the following:
A. Take self-paid at-home rapid tests on the third and seventh day after the individual in quarantine returns home and report the test results via text message.
B. Practice enhanced self-health management for seven days when the individual in quarantine undergoes home quarantine in the same household. The individual in quarantine should also practice self-health management for seven days after the end of his or her quarantine period.
C. Don’t share a room or bathroom with the individual in quarantine. The parties are not allowed to be in the same room or share food. When providing necessary assistance (supplies), both parties should adopt adequate protection measures including wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing and minimizing the duration of contact.

Any violation of quarantine regulations can result in a fine of up to NT$1 million according to applicable laws.
