CECC adjusts quarantine measures for flight crews of Taiwanese airlines aboard flights arriving in Taiwan to ensure their health and safety at workplace and safeguard domestic disease prevention efforts


In order to ensure the health and safety of flight crews of Taiwanese airlines at their workplace and safeguard domestic disease prevention efforts, quarantine measures for such crew members following their COVID-19 vaccination and quarantine measures to be complied with after they return to Taiwan will be adjusted, and details are listed below.

A. Crew members returning to Taiwan from key high-risk countries shall observe a 14-day home quarantine (a PCR test required on the last day)

B. Long-haul flights (crew members who have entered countries under Level 3 travel notice):
1. Crew members who haven't been vaccinated and those who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine but less than two weeks have passed:
Beginning June 12, 2021, they shall undergo a five-day home quarantine (a PCR test required on the last day) and practice a 9-day enhanced self-health management (an antigen rapid test on the 9th and 14th day). Beginning July 1, they shall undergo a 7-day home quarantine (a PCR test required on the last day) and practice a 7-day enhanced self-health management (an antigen rapid test on the 14th day).
2. Crew members who have received their first dose and two weeks have passed since the first dose but they don't have full protection:
Beginning June 12, 2021, they shall undergo a 3-day home quarantine (a PCR test required on the last day) and practice an 11-day self-health management (an antigen rapid test on the 9th and 14th day). Beginning July 1, they shall undergo a 5-day home quarantine (a PCR test required on the last day) and practice a 9-day enhanced self-health management (an antigen rapid test on the 9th and 14th day).
3. Two weeks have passed for those who received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and also tested positive for antibodies (monitoring every three months): such crew members shall undergo a 7-day self-health management (a negative PCR test result required on the last day).

C. Short-haul flights (crew members who have not entered countries under Level 3 travel notice and have returned to Taiwan the same day):
Beginning June 12, 2021, such crew members shall abide by the following rules:
1. Less than two weeks have passed for those who haven't been fully vaccinated and have tested negative for antibodies: a 14-day of self-health management and PCR monitoring every 14 days.
2. Two weeks have passed for those who received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and also tested positive for antibodies (monitoring every three months): self-health monitoring and PCR monitoring every 14 days.
