National Epidemic Prevention Meeting Report at Morning Press Conference on May 28

On the morning of May 28, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) held its National Epidemic Prevention Meeting with each city and county government. Key points about guidance concerning admission to long term care facilities that was discussed at the meeting are listed below.
A. New admissions from the community to long term care facilities:
During the effective period of the epidemic alert, it is not recommended that new residents be directly admitted to long term care facilities from the community. If the situation requires an immediate admission, the resident to be admitted shall undergo a self-paid SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test and provide a negative test result issued within three days prior to the date of admission.
2. Readmissions from a hospital or return to long term care facilities:
The hospital may only transfer or allow a discharged patient to return to the long term care facility where the patient lives after it gives the patient a government-funded SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test, and the test result comes back negative.
