On January 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed indigenous case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The new case, Case #870, is a Taiwanese woman in her 60s and is a family member of Case #839. Case #870 lived with Case #839 and experienced a fever on January 18. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on January 20.
Regarding Case #869, a Vietnamese caregiver, announced on January 19, a further investigation showed that the Vietnamese caregiver had stayed at the hospital to take care of her employer during her employer's hospitalization period, and Case #838 visited the ward to treat the employer on January 7.
Regarding the cluster infection within the family of Cases #863-865, the CECC disclosed other public venues those three cases had visited. The public venues visited by them are listed below.

The CECC reminds members of the public who have visited those locations in the time periods mentioned above that they shall practice self-health management and, if experiencing suspected symptoms before February 1, must put on a medical mask to seek medical care at the nearby designated hospitals; they must not use public transportation when seeking medical attention. Moreover, when seeking medical attention, members of the public shall voluntarily inform the physician of any history of travel, occupation, contact, and cluster and whether anyone else has similar symptoms. After the health assessment of the physician, those who undergo testing shall pay the registration fee (testing fees will be paid by the government); after returning home, they shall wear mask, avoid going out, and keep at least 1 meter away from other people while talking to them.
