Testing upon arrival to be expanded to include travelers arriving on flights from Korea starting March 22; travelers testing positive will be transported to hospital or government quarantine facility/enhanced quarantine hotel

On March 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that starting 00:00 on March 22 (incoming flight's arrival time), travelers arriving in Taiwan on flights from Korea will be required to undergo testing upon arrival, and those testing positive will be transported to a designated hospital or a government quarantine facility/enhanced quarantine hotel. The CECC made the decision to implement the measure as the COVID-19 situation in Korea remains severe and the country's number of daily new cases is the highest worldwide.
