Cumulative total of 348 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 50 patients released from isolation


On April 3, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that that 827 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on April 2. As of writing, a cumulative total of 34,557 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 30,530. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 348 cases (Cases #340-348 confirmed today). Of 348 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 298 are imported and 50 are indigenous. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 5 deaths, and 50 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder remains hospitalized in isolation.
