CECC reports no new confirmed cases; 415 patients released from isolation


The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that no additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were confirmed in Taiwan on May 25. The CECC reported that 183 additional cases related to COVID-19 were reported on May 24. As of writing, a cumulative total of 70,880 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 69,928. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 441 cases. Of 441 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 350 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 7 deaths, and 415 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation. Moreover, the monitoring periods for all contacts of people in home isolation have ended; today’s number of contacts under health monitoring and management is zero.
