CECC to implement related response measures and conduct quarantine hotel inspections in response after airport hotel employees confirmed to have COVID-19

On April 30, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in consideration of the possible risk of transmission in an airport quarantine hotel where several of its staff members were confirmed to have COVID-19, it would launch an investigation into the number of flight crewmembers who had checked out of the quarantine hotel between April 15 and April 28 and would impose an expanded home isolation order for those crewmembers.

The CECC reminds members of the public who have visited the quarantine hotel during the said period of time to practice self-health monitoring for 14 days starting from the date of exposure. If suspected symptoms develop, members of the public must put on a mask and voluntarily inform the physician of contact history, travel history, occupational exposure, and whether anyone else has similar symptoms; members of the public may not take public transportation when seeking medical attention.
