Cumulative total of 442 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 420 patients released from isolation


On May 29, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 169 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on May 28. As of writing, a cumulative total of 71,750 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 70,790. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 442 cases (Case #442 confirmed today). Of 442 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 351 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 7 deaths, and 420 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
