CECC explains details about second dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

On June 26, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that members of the public who received their first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine before May 9 can receive the government-funded second dose 10-12 weeks after their first dose. Experts recommend receiving the two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine at an interval of 10-12 weeks, which provides better protection; yet, vaccinations can also be offered to people who plan to travel abroad and urgently need to receive two doses of the vaccine at an interval of 8 to 10 weeks. Such people can visit contracted healthcare facilities to get vaccinated, and they are recommended to consider getting vaccinated at the vaccination site where they received their first dose or they can visit hospitals contracted by Taiwan CDC that provide outpatient services in travel medicine.
