Case #874 traveled to Taiwan for official business on December 30, 2020. He hasn’t developed any symptoms since arrival. Case #874 completed his quarantine period on January 14, 2021. As he had planned to leave Taiwan, Case #874 visited the hospital to take a self-paid COVID-19 test on January 20, and he tested positive (the Ct value was 30). He is currently hospitalized in a hospital isolation ward for treatment. The case is classified as an imported case. The CECC points out that details mentioned in the news report about the Danish national testing positive in Thailand after departure from Taiwan is false information; the CECC urges the media and the public not to spread the information.
