CECC confirms 2 more imported COVID-19 cases; cases confirmed during home isolation


On April 10, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced two new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. A total of 382 cases have been confirmed in Taiwan as of writing. With respect to the two cases, Case #381 is an over 20-year-old female, and Case #382 is an over 60-year-old male. Case #381 studied abroad in the United States and entered Taiwan on March 30. Ten passengers on the same flight as the case have been confirmed to have COVID-19. She had a runny nose and stuffy nose, and lost her sense of smell on April 4. Health agencies arranged her medical care and COVID-19 testing on April 7. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 10. Case #382 traveled to Indonesia to visit relatives with Case #378 (his wife) from February 16 to March 29. As his wife was laboratory-confirmed to be infected with COVID-19, health agencies arranged his COVID-19 testing on April 7. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 10.
