CECC confirms 12 more imported COVID-19 cases


On November 27, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 12 new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the 12 new imported cases, they are eight men and four women, aged between 10 to 69 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from Ethiopia (three cases), Indonesia (four cases), Vietnam (two cases), India, the US, and Korea. They arrived between November 12 and November 25.

The CECC reported that a total of 4,411,374 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 4,393,040. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,578 cases. Of the 16,578 confirmed cases, 1,934 are imported; 14,590 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 111 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 848 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 848 deaths, 836 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
