On February 18, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 67 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 67 new cases, 16 are domestic and 51 are imported (30 of them tested positive after landing). The CECC reported no deaths today.

Regarding the domestic cases, they are seven men and nine women, aged between under ten and 59 years old.

Regarding the 51 new imported cases, they are 27 men and 24 women, aged between under five and 79 years. Of the cases, nine arrived from the US, three each from Canada and India, two each from Australia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong, and one each from Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, Belgium, Thailand, Brazil, Vietnam, Italy, and Nepal; the areas the remaining 20 cases arrived from are being investigated. They all arrived between January 23 and February 17, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 6,108,383 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 6,088,145. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 19,864 cases. Of the 19,864 confirmed cases, 4,441 are imported; 15,369 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 134 cases have been removed as confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 852 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 852 deaths, 839 are from domestic cases and the other 13 are from imported cases.
