Effective from July 22, eligibility for second COVID-19 booster dose expanded to individuals aged 18 and older who need to travel abroad for work

On July 21, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that individuals aged 18 and older who need to travel abroad for diplomatic reasons, official business, or business will be eligible for a second booster shot starting July 22. Such individuals can get their second booster two weeks before they travel overseas provided that there should be at least 150 days between their first booster dose and their second one.

Before getting vaccinated, such an eligible individual should bring the invitation given by the institution inviting him or her, the approval letter issued by the competent authority of the respective business, or proof detailing business travel approved by his or her company (one of the above three) and the flight ticket, in addition to his or her NHI card and COVID-19 Vaccination Record, for identity verification at the vaccination site.
