CECC confirms 24,355 more COVID-19 cases, including 24,309 domestic cases and 46 imported cases

On November 6, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 24,355 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 24,355 new cases, 24,309 are domestic and 46 are imported. The CECC announced 47 deaths today.

Regarding the 24,309 new domestic cases, 11,207 are male and 13,091 are female, while the gender of the other 11 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 4,035 were reported in New Taipei City, 3,350 in Taichung City, 3,309 in Kaohsiung City, 2,394 in Taoyuan City, 2,365 in Tainan City, 2,203 in Taipei City, 1,151 in Changhua County, 785 in Pingtung County, 606 in Hsinchu County, 600 in Yunlin County, 584 in Hsinchu City, 473 in Miaoli County, 468 in Chiayi County, 449 in Nantou County, 348 in Keelung City, 345 in Yilan County, 310 in Chiayi City, 241 in Hualien County, 150 in Taitung County, 78 in Kinmen County, 60 in Penghu County, and four in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 47 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 31 men and 16 women ranging in age from 20 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 46 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 8 and November 5, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 19,558,309 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,668,023. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 7,887,538 cases. Of the 7,887,538 confirmed cases, 36,659 are imported; 7,850,825 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 13,198 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 13,198 deaths, 13,181 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
