On April 24, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced six new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those six new cases arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines (Cases #1093-1094 and Case #1098), India (Case #1095), and Indonesia (Cases #1096 and #1097).
Case #1093 is an over 20-year-old male from the Philippines. The Filipino man traveled to Taiwan for work on March 17. He didn't experience any symptoms during the quarantine period, and tested negative at the end of the quarantine period. He was placed under home isolation because a migrant worker (Case #1054) who traveled with him was found to have COVID-19. Due to work requirements, he visited the hospital to take a self-paid test arranged by the company he worked for on April 22. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 24 (the CT value was 30; he tested negative after given another RT-PCR test, and he tested negative for IgM and positive for IgG antibodies).
Case #1094 is a Taiwanese male in his 70s. He lived in the Philippines for an extended period of time and traveled to Taiwan on April 8. He had no appetite because he felt upset on April 19. On April 21, the hotel staff found that he had no heartbeat. After the testing conducted by the medical examiner, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 24 (the CT value was 27).
Case #1095 is an over 20-year-old male student from India. He traveled to Taiwan on April 8. After he completed the quarantine period on April 22, his school arranged for him to be tested for COVID-19 at the hospital the next day. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 24.
Case #1096 is an over 20-year-old male student from Indonesia. The Indonesian student traveled to Taiwan on April 8. After he completed the quarantine period on April 22, his school arranged for him to be tested at the hospital the next day. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 24.
Case #1097 is an over 30-year-old man from Indonesia. The Indonesian man traveled to Taiwan to work as a fisherman on April 22. Because he developed a cough on April 23, the group quarantine facility he stayed at arranged for him to undergo testing. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 24.

She was tested for COVID-19 on April 8 before completing the quarantine period, and she tested negative. Due to work requirements, she visited the hospital to take a self-paid test on April 23. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on April 24 (the CT value was 31; she had a CT value of 32 after given another RT-PCR test, and she tested negative for IgM and positive for IgG antibodies).
