CECC adjusts criteria for exemption from testing listed in COVID-19 Response Measures for Hospitals

On June 7, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it has adjusted the criteria for exemption from testing provided in the "COVID-19 response measures for hospitals" to allow confirmed cases released from isolation to be exempted from testing; the effective date of the amended criteria will be determined and announced by each hospital. Details about the amendment are listed below.

Taking the risk of community transmission into consideration, hospitals may allow inpatients, individuals accompanying patients, visitors, patients kept in the emergency department for observation for at least 24 hours and person accompanying them, healthcare workers, and testing personnel to be exempted from testing upon entry and regular testing if they have been diagnosed with COVID-19, have been released from isolation, and have met the condition: 15 days (or more) to 3 months have passed since the date of the onset of symptoms or the positive test (applicable to asymptomatic individuals).
