Crowd control imposed at tourist hotspots, night markets and temples starting April 10

Due to a spike in the number of suspected cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) reported after the four-day Tomb Sweeping Day, the CECC announced today that crowd control measures have been imposed at public places where large crowds can gather, including renowned tourist attractions, national parks, recreational areas, night markets and temples to prevent potential chain of infection from undermining epidemic prevention and control efforts. The CECC urges proprietors of these venues, relevant management units and members of the public to cooperate with and follow related measures.
