On August 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 96 new confirmed cases of Omicron subvariants; 34 of the cases are domestic and the other 62 cases are imported. As of now, there have been a cumulative total of 78 imported cases of BA.4, 605 imported cases of BA.5, and eight imported cases of BA.2.75. Furthermore, there have been a cumulative total of 92 confirmed domestic cases of BA.5, three confirmed domestic case of BA.4, and no confirmed domestic cases of BA.2.75.
