Eighth batch of 827,000 doses of BNT vaccine donated by TSMC, Hon Hai Yonglin, and Tzu Chi arrives in Taiwan on morning of October 14

On October 14, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that an eighth batch of 827,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT) vaccine donated by Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd., (TSMC), Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., and Yonglin Charity Foundation, and Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation arrived at Taoyuan International Airport this morning. The vaccine doses will be shipped to designated cold storage and logistics centers for the subsequent testing and lot release procedures after customs clearance.

This batch of vaccine doses will be distributed and offered to the public as soon as possible according to the CECC's plan.

The CECC once again expresses its deep gratitude to TSMC, Hon Hai Yonglin, and Tzu Chi for their efforts that have provided more vaccines to the public, which will boost Taiwan's vaccination coverage.
