No severe case was newly confirmed in Week 19, 2016 (May 8 to May 14, 2016, Fig. 1). Three cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. Two cases were aged 2 years old and one was aged below 1 year old (Table 1). They were all infected with EV71. Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
