Two severe cases were newly confirmed in Week 25, 2016 (June 19 to June 25, 2016, Fig. 1). Nine cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. One case was 6 years old and others were aged 0-3 (Table 1). Eight were infected with EV71 and one was infected with Coxsackie A5. Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
