During Week 36, 2016 (September 4 to10, 2016, Fig. 1), no sever case due to enterovirus infection was newly confirmed. A total of 18 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. The majority of cases were aged 0-3 (Table 1). Seventeen cases were infected with EV71 and 1 case was infected with Coxsackie A5.Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
