One severe case was newly confirmed in Week 23, 2016 (June 5 to June 11, 2016, Fig. 1). Six cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. All of the cases were aged 0-3 (Table 1). They were all infected with EV71. Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
