During Week 32, 2016 (August 7 to 13, 2016, Fig. 1), 1 sever case due to enterovirus infection was newly confirmed. A total of 15 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. The majority of cases were aged 0-3 (Table 1). Fourteen cases were infected with EV71 and 1 case was infected with Coxsackie A5.Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
