Dec 29, 2015-- As of December 29, 2015, 5 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (including 2 death) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2015. These cases were all aged below 1 year old (Table 1); 3 cases caused by Coxsackie B5 and 2 cases caused by Coxsackie A16. Figure 1 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence. In 2014, there were 6 cases (including 1 death) of enterovirus infection with severe complications. 

No severe case was newly confirmed in Week 51 (December 23 to December 29, Fig. 2).
