January 21, 2014--As of January 21, 2014, no case of enterovirus infection with severe complications have been reported and confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2014. In 2013, there were 12 cases (including 1 deaths) of enterovirus infection with severe complications; among 12 confirmed cases there were 7 cases caused by EV71.

No case was newly confirmed in Week 3 (January 15 to January 21, Fig. 1).
