January 28, 2014--As of January 28, 2014, no case of enterovirus infection with severe complications have been reported and confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2014. In 2013, there were 12 cases (including 1 deaths) of enterovirus infection with severe complications; among 12 confirmed cases there were 7 cases caused by EV71.

No case was newly confirmed in Week 4 (January 22 to January 28, Fig. 1).
