July 6, 2010--As of July 6, 2010, 13 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications had been reported and confirmed by Taiwan CDC. Among these 13 confirmed cases, 12 had been discharged and 1 was in ICU. Those confirmed cases were all under 10 years old (see Table 1(pdf file)). Seven cases were from the northern part of Taiwan, one was from the central and five were from the southern. (see Fig. 1(pdf file))

One case was confirmed in Week 26 ((June 30 to July 6). She is 8-month-old girl from Chiayi City. Her infection was caused by Coxsackie A16 virus, the girl had been discharged. (see Fig. 2(pdf file))
