May 04, 2010--As of May 04, 2010, 7 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications had been reported and confirmed by Taiwan CDC. Among these 7 confirmed cases, 5 had been discharged, 1 was in general hospital ward, 1 was in ICU. Those confirmed cases were all under 5 years old (see Table 1(pdf file)). Four cases were from the northern part of Taiwan, and three were from the southern. (see Fig. 1(pdf file))

No case was newly confirmed in Week 17 (April 28 to May 4). (see Fig. 2(pdf file))
