July 26, 2011--As of July 26, 2011, 2 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications had been reported and confirmed by Taiwan CDC. These cases are aged below 2 years (See Table 1(pdf file)) and located in the northern area of Taiwan. (See Fig. 1(pdf file))

One case was confirmed in Week 29 (July 20 to July 26). The case was a male under 1 from New Taipei City. His infection was caused by EV71 and the infant had been discharged. (see Fig. 2(pdf file))
