To achieve the goal of eliminating tuberculosis by 2035, the WHO recommends implementing various prevention and treatment strategies through three main pillars: ‘Integrated, Patient-Centered Care and Prevention’, ‘Bold policies and Supportive Systems’ and ‘Intensified Research and Innovation'. This Tuberculosis Control Manual serves as administrative guidance that public health workers can use as a principle to provide patient-centered care based on the individual difference. By using this manual as a reference, and accumulating experience and knowledge, it is hoped that public health workers can develop localized prevention and care models that fit cases’ specific needs, providing the most effective care and management processes.
Through the public health system, tuberculosis patients, contacts, latent tuberculosis infection individuals, and drug-resistant tuberculosis patients can receive the most appropriate care and management process, effectively controlling tuberculosis.
