The breeding and living habits of the vector mosquitoes that transmit dengue fever are closely associated with human living environment. The emergence of a dengue fever case in an area indicates the probable presence of dengue virus-carrying adult Aedes mosquitoes in that area. Simultaneously, the infected case can pass the virus to feeding mosquitoes. In order to prevent further transmission and occurrence of epidemics, chemical control of mosquitoes should be immediately applied to the case’s possible place of infection and places the case had visited after disease onset, spraying insecticides to kill the dengue virus-carrying Aedes mosquitoes and cut off the circle of transmission.To ensure effectiveness of chemical control of adult vector mosquito of dengue virus, besides adopting a systematic approach to planning insecticide spraying, appropriate insecticides and correct spraying equipment and method must be selected. In addition, it is equally important to strengthen the sprayer’s protection and technical training at the same time in order to control dengue fever epidemics effectively and immediately.
